About

Most first-year Greek courses are good at teaching students lots of grammar and lots of vocabulary.  These are good and necessary pieces in language learning.  But developing comfortable familiarity with any language requires practice working in the language, and lots of it.  Reading large amounts of comprehensible text helps supply the repetition and exposure to varied contexts that students need in order to gain confidence, speed, and ever-increasing fluency.

Thus this site is designed with two goals in mind:
  1. Making resources available to Greek learners that help improve their reading proficiency.
  2. Fostering discussion about methods and tools which can be utilized in creating these types of practical reading exercises.
